Regenerative Landscape Design, Consultation and Installation in Northern Virginia

Broken Hills Daffodils Regenerative Landscaping LLC is working to merge the natural world with the human world, to provide food for humans and wildlife, and to contribute to building a more sustainable community!

Services We Offer

Broken Hills Daffodils Regenerative Landscaping LLC offers a wide variety of ecological gardening services to Fauquier County and beyond, including:

Regenerative Landscape Design, Consultation and Installation

Conventional landscapes are costly and labor intensive. We specialize in designing and installing ecological landscapes that are a better fit for any lifestyle.

Edible Plant Consultation and Propagation Services

Your landscape can be beautiful, and provide food at the same time with edible plants! Whether it is a large vegetable bed with wildflowers, a small herb garden to spice up your cooking, or an attractive shrub that also provides tea leaves.

Composting Set Up, Delivery and Consultation Services

We can help you set up your own composting system, or can take your compost offsite. We can also return the nutritious soil to you, as needed.

Native Plant Consultation and Propagation Services

We are committed to helping native plants and wildlife recover from the massive changes to their landscape that has occurred due to human settlement with native consultation services.

Invasive Plant Removal/Containment

Removing an overly opportunistic exotic plant is often a good first step to restoring a more balanced ecosystem. As much as possible, we avoid herbicides by hand pulling or using mechanical assistance, or by containing the problematic plant.

How Does It Work?

  1. We start by having you fill out our brief questionnaire describing your goals, your area, and your lifestyle.
  2. We’ll review the information you give us and schedule a free, no-obligation Zoom call to discuss everything in more depth.
  3. When you are ready, we can schedule an in-person consultation visit at $70 per hour (usually one hour for a suburban lot) in which I will come to your property, take soil samples, and give general advice on how to build a healthy ecosystem.
  4. Next, you can choose to buy a written plan that encompasses all the things we discussed and envisioned during your home visit.  The plan would include a technical drawing detailing what to plant, where to plant it, and how to take care of it.  You can then either proceed on your own from that plan, or hire Broken Hills Daffodils to do it for you.
  5. Once your garden is in place, we will teach you how to care for it, or you can purchase a maintenance package where we will come out and tend the plants for you, and even harvest them when they are ready to be picked.
